About
Darriane has attended UIC since 2013 and has continued her education within the CLJ department. She has obtained a BA and MA in Criminology and is currently working towards her PhD. Darriane also works at a non profit that assist those who are low income with criminal records and help with getting their records expunged and sealed so that a criminal background is no longer a challenge. Darriane has recently completed her Foundation of College Instruction certificate and is now certified to teach college courses. Darriane's research focuses on the Black experience within music throughout various eras and how aspects of Criminology are portrayed throughout the art.
