2015 CLJ Open House a Success

The Annual Open House on November 4, 2015 held at the Department of Criminology, Law, and Justice was a huge success!

Four panel discussions included a variety of professionals and alumni who work in both traditional criminal justice professions as well as those who have career experiences in social justice. Dr. Lisa Frohmann, Prof. Jessica Bird and Prof. Helena Olea Rodriguez moderated the panels.

Another panel, moderated by Dr. Peter Ibarra, included Jaime Velasquez from UIC Career Services and Robin Hursey from LAS Internship Advising. The goal of the panel was to inform undergraduate students about what career paths and options are available after graduation. The panel provided useful information on how to search for internships and jobs using UIC resources. They also discussed how internships, volunteering and other extra curricular opportunities can help students advance their career development and enrich their learning experiences.
