About
Sami began her college experience studying psychology while also exploring biological sciences and criminology. She was pleasantly surprised to learn how interested he was in criminology and decided to pursue that field further in grad school. Now as a doctoral student, her research interests revolve around the intersection of the criminal legal system and educational institutions and how parents/families are included within those spaces. She enjoys attempting to understand the impact of both surveillance and discipline policies that students and children experience.
