About
Amanda (she/her/ella) is passionate about teaching others about various elements that play into criminology and the criminal justice system--specifically within Latinx & Hispanic communities. Her past research has investigated the victims of the Argentine dictatorship. She examined various recovery methods that victims of the dictatorship used- such as art and film. Her research interests in grad school include examining the relationships between Latinx and Hispanic communities within the United States prison and justice system. Additionally, she would love to pursue comparative criminological research that explores differences between the prison and justice systems in South and Central America and the U.S.
