About
Julian is a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Criminology, Law, and Justice at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), with a concentration in Latin American and Latino Studies. He received his Master's from UIC through the department of Criminology, Law, and Justice. He received a B.S. from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) through the department of Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Emergency Management. Julian's research interests aim to highlight concepts concerning crimmigration, the hyper-policing of migrant communities, and issues addressing Race and Ethnicity. Through his work he aims to bridge the gap between academia and professional components in the Criminal Justice System to highlight issues marginalized communities are experiencing. Si Se Puede!
