About
Gaby has been attending UIC since undergrad, where she developed a profound interest in the criminal legal system and its impact on marginalized communities. Now as a doctoral student, her research interests revolve around youth and the juvenile justice system, educational inequities, the school-prison nexus, alternatives to punishment such as restorative and transformative justice, and community re-entry.
