Public Safety Roundtable
body text Heading link
The Center for Research in Law and Justice, in collaboration with the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police, organizes regular Public Safety Roundtable meetings of police executives, policy makers, and researchers to
- Examine current public safety issues facing communities and law enforcement agencies,
- Share new research findings on public safety and policing, and
- Explore ways to strengthen organizational capacity for innovation and evidence-based decision making through university-agency partnerships.
The goal of these informal Public Safety Roundtables is to improve public safety in Illinois by strengthening the relationship between the academic and the criminal justice community throughout the state of Illinois. These meetings provide law enforcement executives the opportunity to share and candidly discuss key issues facing the law enforcement agencies today and to learn about cutting-edge research on policing.
